Events Calendar Single Event

Enhance Community Engagement with a Council Events Calendar

A well-maintained events calendar is a valuable asset for any UK council website. It serves as a central hub for residents to stay informed about upcoming events, fostering community engagement and participation.

Our Council website package includes an Events Calendar/Event Management system with a “What’s On” calendar for your town or parish.

The system allows you to define categories for events, such as Planning Meetings or Scouts, that can be filtered by visitors on the website.

A larger town may want the Town Council website to focus on Council events only, such as dates for Finance and Planning meetings.

A smaller town, village or parish may want to advertise all events for all organisations in the area, thus providing a central point of information on behalf of all local organisations. The decision on the range of events to be published rests with the Council.

The Event Management system also allows you to define repeating events, such as every Wednesday, the 1st Monday of each month, alternate Wednesdays, etc

Single events are displayed in a number of different layouts and includes the event title, a description, date, tinme and other information if it’s availbable. It also has functionaility to add events to your Google Calendar or iCal. Share buttons are also available to be able to share the event to social media.

The main events page will allow to view events in a number of different views – monthly, weekly, daily, list, grid and tile. Users are able to switch between the differents views for added fluidity.

The Importance of Publicly Available Committee Information

Councils in the UK are legally required to make committee information publicly accessible, ensuring transparency, accountability, and community engagement in local decision-making.
